Kortni Campbell

Assistant Dean of Admission and Financial Aid

Hey Everyone,

I’m Kortni Campbell, an assistant dean in the Office of Admission and Financial Aid at Davidson College.  I joined the admission office in 2007 after working for a few years in the public policy arena following my graduation from UNC Chapel Hill.  I am the regional admission counselor for Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina’s Triangle, Rhode Island and Vermont. Each area of the country has its own regional admission counselor charged to serve as a resource for prospective Davidson students and act as an advocate for applicants from that region in our admission committee meetings.

At Davidson, the admission office and financial aid office are blended together to make one effective body.  Davidson has a need-blind admission policy and follows a plan called The Davidson Trust, which calls for all of Davidson’s financial aid packages to meet 100% of demonstrated financial need without the use of loans.

Feel free to look around this Explore.Davidson blog.  Each blogger will share an unique story about life at Davidson.  The bloggers come from all over – California and Kentucky, Seattle and New Hampshire, Baltimore and the Bahamas.  They have varied interests, from academic pursuits to the arts, swimming to service,  foreign relations to food, and everything in between.  They represent just some of the engaging people that walk around Davidson’s campus everyday. Also, if you would like to connect with Davidson in other ways, click on the “Connect” Icon to the right of this page. On the Connect page, you’ll see links to our our Twitter account, and great resources like our Pod’Cats series and our Google Maps Essay Project. I look forward to sharing some insight into a year of the admission process with you.

Enjoy!
