ITS is offering instructional technology workshops in web design to interested faculty. The sessions will assist faculty creating web sites for teaching and research. Additional workshops will be announced soon...
Workshop 1: Web design basics for course materials
This workshop is for faculty wanting to learn how to develop web-based resources for instruction. The workshop introduces basic web design skills using Dreamweaver, a web-authoring application. This is not a CMS training course. No prerequisite skills are required. At the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
1. Create web pages with embedded images, video clips, and audio files
2. Make links among web pages
3. Utilize menus for easy navigation
4. Design and manage web pages with consistency

Workshop 2: Styling your Web site
This workshop introduces an easy way to style a web site with a consistent look on every page. Prior experience in Dreamweaver is recommended but not required. This is not a CMS training course.
At the end of the workshop, you will be able to create two identical web sites with different styles by modifying only one file. Check what you can create during the workshop. Compare web site 1 and 2 here.
