Introducing Inside Davidson, new campus intranet

We are pleased to formally launch Inside Davidson, a new Web-based intranet system intended to be the primary information and communication tool for employees.

  • Reduce the amount of "email noise" created by the constant flow of campus announcements.
  • Provide online collaboration tools (document sharing, bulletin boards, threaded discussions, blogs, wikis, etc.) to departments, committees, and groups.
  • Improve information accessibility by providing secure, permissions-based access to departmental reports and individual documents (monthly budget reports, pay stubs, a wide variety of departmental reports, etc.).
  • Provide a central doorway to campus services and resources (Banner Self-Service, campus map, e-mail, employee and student directories, athletics tickets, box office, EMS room reservations, car reservations, Physical Plant work orders, Crier announcements, etc.).
  • Enhance usability of www.davidson.edu by separating "insider" information to create a more navigable "public" website.
  • Enable operational efficiencies by providing online tools and workflow to replace manual processes.
  • Promote and support campus sustainability initiatives by reducing the use of paper.

Over the course of the next few months, Inside Davidson will become the primary location for official campus communications and other news. Therefore, with support from President Ross and the PES, we encourage you to set your default homepage to Inside Davidson following the instructions below.
