The World Affairs Council hosted President Carol Quillen on September 19, 2012. Dr. Quillen, who earned her Ph.D. in European History from Princeton University, discussed the importance of U.S. higher education to the global economy. She began her discussion with three questions:
- What must U.S. higher education do to remain prosperous and competent in the global economy?
- What can U.S. higher education distinctively do now, given the current status of the global economy?
- In today’s global environment, why does Davidson College matter? What is Davidson’s role?
