Library Resources for Email Monitoring Topic

What would be resources for my research topic: Its wrong for colleges such as Davidson to monitor their students email accounts. I am looking for resources such as court cases dealing with the subject and privacy laws. Also, anyone who has any interesting ways to narrow this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Scott,
Try the following three indexes as your first step by going to the library's Indexes and Databases page and clicking on Law Resources.

1) INDEX TO LEGAL PERIODICALS FULL TEXT
This database indexes articles from over 1,000 legal periodicals, including law reviews, as well as yearbooks, bar association publications, court decisions, government documents, books, and book reviews.
2) LEGAL INFORMATION INSTITUTE
You'll find the full text of U.S. Supreme Court Opinions (1990 to present) as well as other federal and state court decisions. It also includes the text of the current U.S. Code, and state codes.
3) LEXIS NEXIS ACADEMIC
You'll find some of the same information here, including a wide variety of legal documents, articles from law reviews and journals, federal and state case law, and federal and state codes.

Try using search terms like:
"email and laws"
"email and privacy"
"computers and privacy"
"electronic mail systems"

Come by the reference desk at any time, and I'll be glad to help!
