I am not sure if I should cut out some sections in my paper.

Doug,
What are the sources that are relevant to nuclear waste that you found?

After reading James Cerbie's draft of his research paper, it has become apparent that his is nearly my antithesis. His paper swoons over the benefits of Blogs, even going so far as to say that Blogs are a good source of Investigative Journalism. I'm sorry, but where did this come from? When was the last time any of us saw a blog that UNCOVERED a huge news story?

I've moved my topic to narrow it a little bit more. I'm going to focus on the peer to peer file sharing companies versus the music industry and how the music industry wants to shut down those sites. I will try to argue that the object of the peer to peer sites is a good one and that illegal music sharing that occurs is not actually as harmful to the companies as they would have us believe.
I've decided to discuss the ineffectiveness of warning signs. I've found several good journal articles but i would like to find some good statistical data on car crashes related to distractions (talking/ texting on cell phones, etc.). Where are some good places to look for this information
Finished my rough draft, but I'm still hoping to perhaps find some more useful data on general radiation exposure from living near a plant. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone has.
I am not quite sure how to do the in text citations for an entire web site.

Does anybody out there know a good teacher here to interview concerning blogs and politics. I know I want to look in the political science department, but I was just wondering who out there may know the most on the subject?
I've narrowed my research paper to what oil companies say they're doing Vs. what they actually do, and how much they spend doing it.

In the process of writing my paper, I found many connections between nuclear power as a sustainable energy source and the positive effect it has on the environment. This is an interesting angle on the topic which contradicts the popular belief that the carbon byproducts of nuclear power are damaging to the enviroment. My only concern is overloading my paper with statistics and figures on this matter - I do not want to lose the reader's interest...
I'm trying to focus my topic from internet and cell phones and how they affect communication/relationships to looking at specifically texting. But I'm having some trouble finding enough information in terms of sources, I've been looking and getting information from a lot of popular articles but not as many textbooks. Any ideas where I could look in the library for information about this?
I am having trouble with varying my sources.

I was just wondering how, if any, you guys used online social networking sites, such as facebook or myspace, in relation to the 2008 election.
I think im leaning in the direction of arguing that small cars are actually safer based on the Gladwell article, "Wrong Turn". The article does not site souces, is there a way to track down his sources.
I am trying to narrow my argument down to a more specific technology in golf

Well, after running into a dead end with the LZR suit, I have switched to nuclear power, with a focus on safety. Since people often have a stigma with nuclear power, I plan on arguing that it is a safe source of power. I have found a couple of good sources through OmniFile and Academic Premier, but I could use suggestions on finding books and other sources to continue to pursue the topic so I can prepare a new set of annotated sources. Also, I want to ensure that my paper does not overlap too much with Taylor Martin's, as we are looking at some similar subject matter. I would appreciate any helpthat could be offered to me.
I already have some good sources, but I have been wondering whether or not I should interview someone from the political science department to get their take on blogs as a news source in politics? What do you all think?
I am trying to decide which sub-topic of nuclear power would be the most interesting to read: 1) Proliferation, 2) Energy, or 3) Waste. I am leaning toward waste, but I would like some imput/advice.
This week I met with the ITS staff of Davidson College. The ITS staff was very informative about Davidson's privacy policy regarding email and internet use. I found out that Davidson has does provide a great deal of privacy to students' emails, however they do have the legal right to access student emails. In the last ten years, I was told that ITS has not had to access any student emails for any reasons except for the exception of being subpoenaed or as a result of an honor council verdict. It seems to tie in with the honor code here at Davidson that students are held to a higher standard and trusted. This results in Davidson's policy of reserving the right to access student emails, yet on the other working to protect their privacy. This leaves me in an interesting position regarding my thesis because it seems that Davidson does not have a need for any email monitoring. If anyone has any ideas for how to refocus my topic that would be greatly appreciated.
