Companies Not Doing Enough

I've narrowed my research paper to what oil companies say they're doing Vs. what they actually do, and how much they spend doing it.
As my research has continued most of the articles and materials I've come across have at least mentioned Exxon-Mobil or have been completely about Exxon-Mobil. I'm leaning towards writing the paper completely about Exxon's promises and their results.

I'm not sure if it's too narrow to write an entire paper only about Exxon but like I said, every source at least mentions them somewhere. I guess I'll continue my research and have to determine if I have enough on just Exxon as I start writing.

I think your fine to limit yourself to exxon. I may be wrong, but I think they are the biggest oil distributor in the U.S. in terms of how many gas stations use their gas.

If there is that much information on Exxon, I think it could be a valid paper topic. It would almost be like an expose of Exxon. Reminiscent of the muckrakers such as Tarbell's expose of Standard Oil and Sinclair's of the meat packing industry.
