narrowing of topic

I've moved my topic to narrow it a little bit more. I'm going to focus on the peer to peer file sharing companies versus the music industry and how the music industry wants to shut down those sites. I will try to argue that the object of the peer to peer sites is a good one and that illegal music sharing that occurs is not actually as harmful to the companies as they would have us believe.

It's definitely a controversial topic. It will be interesting to see how you prove that illegally sharing copyrighted material is not that bad. You might want to talk to Scott because his paper deals with illegally sharing music files and the unfairness of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and he may have some relevant sources.
