General Advice?

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)
After cutting nuclear waste from my paper, that leaves reactor leak safety and plant security as the two main topics I'm covering. I was wondering, to those who read my paper, if there is one or the other you would like to see elaborated on.  Thanks.

Final Paper

For my paper I was having a very hard time finding good statistics and studies that supported my argument that outdoor lighting increases crime.  Recently I found a book, Human Factors in Lighting, it has information not proving that crime increases but proving that crime does not increase with more light.  Then I want to say that lighting doesn't help reduce crime at certain levels but now we use so much light that it is increasing crime rates. Now I just need to find proof of this claim.  I think will be able to take these new facts and make a stronger argument.

Doug,

What are the sources that are relevant to nuclear waste that you found?

narrowing of topic

I've moved my topic to narrow it a little bit more. I'm going to focus on the peer to peer file sharing companies versus the music industry and how the music industry wants to shut down those sites. I will try to argue that the object of the peer to peer sites is a good one and that illegal music sharing that occurs is not actually as harmful to the companies as they would have us believe.

warning signs

I've decided to discuss the ineffectiveness of warning signs.  I've found several good journal articles but i would like to find some good statistical data on car crashes related to distractions (talking/ texting on cell phones, etc.).  Where are some good places to look for this information

Looking for Improvements

Finished my rough draft, but I'm still hoping to perhaps find some more useful data on general radiation exposure from living near a plant. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone has.

Interview

Does anybody out there know a good teacher here to interview concerning blogs and politics.  I know I want to look in the political science department, but I was just wondering who out there may know the most on the subject?
