Karajan Conducts Beethoven's 7th

Some swear by it; others swear von Karajan's work at the podium was bland and desensitizing trickery. (April 5th marks the 100th anniversary of the conductor's birth; the debate is heating up.) Mozart Portrait Discovered

A previously unknown portrait of Mozart has been authenticated by a world expert on the composer. The 19 by 14 inch oil portrait from Mozart's Vienna years could be worth millions. According to long-standing family oral tradition, the portrait was a gift to Mozart in return for his composition of the wind serenade K375 for a member of painter's family. Read the full story here.
