I'm currently serving over in Iraq.
I have been here four months with about 11 months left to my tour. You cannot imagine how awesome it was to see Davidson playing. It brought so much pride and joy to my heart and the other Davidson alumni serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was the best morale booster anyone could ever receive. I appreciate it, and I'm extremely proud to be associated with such a great team! Good job this season!

I want to compliment the coach and entire team for their formidable play in the NCAA Tournament. It was an impressive run and Stephen Curry was marvelous. The fellows have much to be proud about for many years to come.
By the way, one of my grandsons graduated from Davidson.

My son is a freshman at Davidson this year and the way Coach McKillop and all of the Davidson basketball players went about the business of making it to the 'Elite Eight' was exemplary. It just reinforced what I already suspected as a parent - that Davidson promotes and values integrity and excellence. We are from a small town near Spokane, WA so as you can guess people were picking Gonzaga all the way - it was so great to beat them. Also, I work with a lady who put two of her kids through Georgetown - great to beat them, too. I like how the team does not have their names on their jerseys - it makes it harder to follow at first but it is just another way to say "We are a TEAM". Yes, there are people that stand out - that is the nature of sports but in a team sport it is a team effort and Bob McKillop has shown his value as a coach well beyond any other by promoting that and not getting eaten up by the all the hype.
